Job Description

Manage Integrated Air and Missile Defence requirements and performance for SHAPE’s Systems Support Section. Act as the interface with Air Command Ramstein, translate operational needs into NATO funding and project inputs, monitor technical availability and assess performance data. Drive evaluations, deficiency correction and system support to sustain interoperable NATO IAMD capabilities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Act as principal interface between SHAPE and Air Command Ramstein for the assigned unit
  • Capture IAMD requirements and translate them into military budget and operational-requirements inputs
  • Assess reported ACO performance tracking information from assigned sites
  • Monitor technical availability and service-provider support for assigned units
  • Conduct technical evaluations and support the SHAPE technical evaluation programme
  • Maintain system deficiencies records and progress approved correction recommendations

Role Requirements

  • Experience in Integrated Air & Missile Defence systems
  • Experience with Key Performance Indicators related to performance monitoring
  • University degree and 2 years function related experience, or advanced vocational qualification with 4 years post related experience
  • English SLP 3333 in listening, speaking, reading and writing
  • Nationality of one of the 32 NATO member states

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of NATO Command and Control, communications and logistics
  • Knowledge of NATO IAMD concepts, policies and architectures
  • Knowledge of NATO project planning and funding procedures
