Job Description

Serve as a SIEM and log-collection engineer for the NATO Cyber Security Centre in Mons. Manage and develop data-security systems, provide technical assistance and maintain lifecycle support under ITIL. Use Splunk, Linux and automation skills to keep services configured, reliable and secure while contributing technical expertise to NATO Digital Endeavour projects.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Act as a main engineer and subject-matter expert for SIEM and log-collection services
  • Provide technical advice and contributions to data-security-system projects
  • Manage and further develop data-security systems
  • Provide ITIL-based support through service design, transition, operations and continual improvement
  • Ensure data-security systems are installed, configured and operating correctly with dependent systems
  • Maintain technical expertise in new technologies related to data security systems

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience, or at least 6 years extensive and progressive relevant expertise
  • At least 1 year of extensive practical SIEM administrator experience in a large enterprise environment
  • At least 2 years expert experience in SIEM and log collection management with Splunk Enterprise
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining distributed Splunk architectures
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken
