Job Description

Provides independent strategic analysis of the Russian cyber domain for NATO SHAPE's Red Team. The analyst assesses doctrine, tactics and possible courses of action; develops alternative hypotheses; contributes cyber expertise to intelligence and operational pictures; and supports strategic planning, exercises and decision-making to strengthen Allied situational awareness.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Analyse Russian cyber-domain doctrine, tactics and possible courses of action
  • Contribute cyber expertise to NATO and SHAPE intelligence and operational pictures
  • Develop alternative hypotheses and red-team analysis of the Russian cyber domain
  • Collect and exploit classified and unclassified information across PMESII areas
  • Lead Red Team intelligence support to training and exercise preparation
  • Advise NATO and SHAPE strategic-planning and decision-making processes
  • Support war gaming and major exercises as opposing forces

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of intelligence collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination experience
  • Minimum 4 years of strategic intelligence-cooperation and exchange experience
  • University degree in a specified discipline with 4 years of relevant experience, or higher secondary education with advanced vocational training and stated experience
  • English at NATO SLP 4343
  • NATO member-state nationality
  • Obtain NATO security clearance and a medical certificate

Desired Criteria

  • Multi-domain intelligence experience from NATO operations or a national intelligence agency
  • Experience in several intelligence disciplines
  • Experience using NATO-specific intelligence software
  • Knowledge of NATO planning, training and exercise procedures
  • Russian language at NATO SLP 2222 or higher
  • Training in critical thinking, structured analysis or red teaming

  • Project-related NATO International Civilian contract for 1 year and 1 month
  • Deployments or temporary-duty assignments may exceed 30 days
