Job Description

Supports UNDP’s stabilisation programme in the Central African Republic by formulating projects, mobilising resources and strengthening delivery. The international UN Volunteer analyses donor priorities, prepares proposals and financing agreements, coordinates partners and joint projects, assures reporting quality, reviews financial evidence, and captures knowledge for teams and partners.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Analyse donor priorities in the Central African Republic to identify future calls for proposals
  • Draft project documents to UNDP quality standards and present them for approval
  • Prepare project-steering meetings and serve as their secretariat
  • Develop concept notes and lead responses to funding opportunities through final submission
  • Prepare cost-sharing and implementation-support agreements with financial and implementing partners
  • Represent UNDP in sectoral working groups and coordinate joint projects with other agencies
  • Ensure proposals align with UNDP, national-development and UN cooperation frameworks
  • Review partner reports and expenditure evidence and document lessons and project-formulation methodologies

Role Requirements

  • Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in developing and managing development projects
  • French

Desired Criteria

  • Field experience in post-conflict, humanitarian-crisis or transition countries
  • Experience in sub-Saharan Africa
  • Experience mobilising resources from multilateral and bilateral partners
  • Strong working experience using Quantum for financial monitoring, fund application and budget revisions
  • In-depth knowledge of UNDP or United Nations operational procedures, quality standards and programming cycles
