Job Description

The Project Development and Reporting Associate supports IOM’s Caribbean portfolio through migration initiatives, donor materials and project reports. The UN Volunteer works with country offices, regional partners, governments and UN counterparts to strengthen mobility programming, resource mobilisation, knowledge products and accountability for disaster preparedness and response activities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop regional project concepts, logical frameworks and donor briefing materials on migration and mobility
  • Support technical cooperation with governments and regional institutions on safe and regular migration
  • Coordinate with UN partners, donors, IOM offices and regional counterparts on joint initiatives
  • Prepare research notes, infographics, synthesis reports and communication products on migration priorities
  • Draft progress reports and briefing documents for IOM management and donors
  • Administer IOM’s UNV platform and support volunteer onboarding, reporting and progress tracking

Role Requirements

  • Degree in international affairs, international development, public policy, social sciences or a related field
  • Demonstrated interest or experience of up to two years in migration, mobility, displacement or related development and humanitarian issues
  • Strong analytical and writing skills to synthesise complex information into reports, briefs and communication products

Desired Criteria

  • Climate knowledge would be an asset but is not essential
  • Familiarity with international policy frameworks on migration, sustainable development or humanitarian affairs is an asset
  • Experience with Power BI, Canva, Adobe InDesign and data visualisation is desirable
  • Previous volunteer experience or experience of another culture would be highly regarded
