Job Description

Coordinates implementation, monitoring and reporting for UNFPA Guinea's humanitarian health and gender-based-violence project, financed by Japan. The assignment supports quarterly plans, data-driven quality assurance and stakeholder reporting so mobile health services, midwife capacity building and digital response systems reach communities affected by floods and epidemics.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support development of quarterly project work plans
  • Contribute to planning and implementation of project interventions
  • Monitor project activities and support quality assurance
  • Develop a monitoring and evaluation plan with indicators
  • Collect and analyse project technical and financial data
  • Prepare semi-annual, annual, progress and final project reports with stakeholders
  • Support project reviews to identify results, lessons learned and post-project monitoring arrangements
  • Support coaching and on-the-job capacity development for national staff, healthcare providers and implementing partners

Role Requirements

  • At least 3 years of national or international professional experience in humanitarian project management, monitoring and evaluation, project management or relevant programmes
  • Excellent oral and written communication, drafting, formulation and report-writing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email and internet use
  • Japanese and English are required

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in humanitarian preparedness or response is an asset
  • United Nations or international-development organisation experience is an asset
  • French is desired

Additional Information

  • Volunteer assignment via UNV.
  • Initial contract is for the period indicated in the vacancy and may be extended subject to mandate, funding, operational need and performance.
  • Volunteer Living Allowance is adjusted for the duty station using the monthly post-adjustment multiplier.
