Social Norms Programme Associate

The Social Norms Programme Associate supports UNFPA’s Caribbean programme on gender-transformative social norms, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and violence prevention. The UN Volunteer advances evidence generation, partner mapping, youth-led innovation, knowledge products and programme monitoring to strengthen regional initiatives and delivery of the new Sub-Regional Programme.

• Support planning and implementation of activities that transform discriminatory social and gender norms
• Conduct literature reviews, environmental scans and evidence synthesis for programme design and advocacy
• Map strategic partners and maintain partnership databases and programme tools
• Support youth-led innovation initiatives including the Next Wave Climate Data Challenge
• Develop knowledge products, policy briefs, advocacy materials and digital resources
• Monitor workplans and indicators and prepare programme, donor and corporate reporting documentation

• Degree in social sciences, gender studies, sociology, psychology, international development, public health or a related field
• Demonstrated interest or experience of up to two years in gender equality, social norms transformation, SRHR, GBV prevention, youth engagement or related areas
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with governments, civil society, youth-led organisations and development partners

• Previous volunteer experience or experience of another culture would be highly regarded
