Job Description
The Programme Associate supports UN Women’s Caribbean office with programme planning, coordination and knowledge management. The UN Volunteer prepares workplans, budgets, briefing material and information products, supports partner processes and events, and monitors programme documentation across gender equality, women’s empowerment, violence prevention and climate resilience priorities.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for programme workplans, budgets and implementation arrangements
- Assist processes for consultancies, partnerships, missions and events
- Manage programme and project information and prepare public information and briefing materials
- Compile data and information for documents, guidelines, speeches and position papers
- Support budget preparation, payments and supporting documentation for financial reports
- Support inter-agency coordination activities and UN Women MCO-Caribbean events
Role Requirements
- Degree in social sciences, sociology, anthropology, gender studies, economics or international relations
- Demonstrated interest or experience in gender research, women’s economic empowerment, ending violence against women, climate change or related programme areas
- Skills in the use of computers and office software packages including Microsoft Word and Excel
Desired Criteria
- Previous volunteer experience or experience of another culture would be highly regarded
- Experience in project management, stakeholder engagement and team support is an asset
