Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for women adolescent-girl and youth-empowerment programming
  • Develop laws policies programmes and strategies for gender equality and sexual health
  • Lead social and behavioural change initiatives for adolescent girls and young women
  • Promote disability-inclusive programming and equitable service access
  • Use digital platforms to improve safety for women and girls
  • Coordinate partners to prevent harmful practices and promote youth participation
  • Strengthen youth-led and women-led organizations to influence policy and decision-making
  • Develop innovative financing proposals for gender equality and youth empowerment
  • Generate synthesize and disseminate evidence and knowledge products
  • Oversee programme design workplans budgets reporting and team performance

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in gender studies sociology public health development studies public policy development management or related disciplines or advanced degree in law and human rights
  • At least five years in gender equality women’s empowerment sexual and reproductive health and rights or economic-empowerment programming
  • English fluency
  • Technical expertise in adolescent and youth development civic engagement gender equality and gender-based violence
  • Policy formulation implementation and monitoring knowledge
