Job Description
Develops the narrative report and dashboard for North Macedonia’s Gender Equality Index, translating official data into contextual analysis across the Index’s domains. The two consultants will work with national institutions and UN Women to validate findings, prepare reports and presentations, and provide guidance for interpreting gender data and index results.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop a work plan and schedule for consultations with key stakeholders
- Gather and classify information for the Gender Equality Index dashboard and narrative report
- Apply European Institute for Gender Equality methodology to draft Index reports
- Use State Statistical Office data and calculations to prepare analytical reports
- Validate dashboard and report findings with stakeholders and incorporate their feedback
- Prepare presentations of key findings for public presentation of the Index
- Develop guidance for interpreting gender data and preparing narrative reports for each domain
- Submit final reports and supporting materials to UN Women
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in statistics, public policy, finance, gender studies or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least five years of demonstrated professional experience in gender equality focused on gender statistics or public policy and budget monitoring
- Experience developing indices and statistical documents on gender equality and gender mainstreaming
- Knowledge of national gender and statistical policies in North Macedonia
- Fluency in Macedonian and English

Additional Information
- The consultancy is home-based with intermittent presence at UN Women premises for coordination
- In-country travel outside Skopje may be required and UN Women will cover transportation and daily subsistence allowance
- Each consultant is expected to deliver 20 working days of work
