Summary of Responsibilities
- Review national legislation, policies and Convention requirements to identify Action Plan priorities and gaps
- Facilitate consultations with government, civil society, women’s rights organizations and service providers
- Develop the draft Action Plan, including objectives, activities, institutions, timelines and indicators
- Assess institutional coordination mechanisms and recommend governance arrangements
- Develop monitoring and reporting arrangements for implementation and future GREVIO reporting
- Facilitate validation and submit the final Action Plan with a process report
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in gender studies, human rights, law, social sciences, public policy, international development or a relevant field
- At least five years of relevant professional experience in gender equality and women’s rights
- Knowledge of the Istanbul Convention and Armenia’s legal and policy framework
- Experience developing national strategies, action plans, policies or legal and policy analyses
- Fluency in Armenian and English
Desired Criteria
- Previous UN or international-organization experience is an asset
