Job Description
The Associate Coordination Officer supports the Resident Coordinator’s Office in Suva to advance joint planning and implementation of the Pacific Cooperation Framework. The assignment coordinates inter-agency processes, country implementation planning, stakeholder consultations, briefing material and knowledge products supporting sustainable development priorities across Pacific island countries.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Organise and follow up UN Country Team, Strategic Programme and Results Group and other inter-agency coordination meetings
- Prepare agendas, briefing materials, presentations, meeting summaries and decision trackers
- Support the design and finalisation of the Pacific UNSDCF 2028-2032 through consultations and consolidation of partner inputs
- Contribute to country implementation plans, results reporting and joint programming documentation
- Prepare briefing notes, talking points, reports and correspondence for the Head of Office
- Maintain coordination repositories, contact databases and knowledge products
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, development studies, political science, public administration, public policy, social sciences, governance and development, project management, international cooperation or a related field
- Strong organisational and coordination skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong written and oral communication skills for reports, meeting summaries, briefing notes and presentations
Desired Criteria
- Previous volunteer experience or experience of another culture would be highly regarded
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team
