Job Description
Provides technical and operational support for UNICEF’s immunization-focused social and behaviour change work in Lesotho. The officer helps programmes and partners strengthen community engagement, social listening and accountability; promote evidence-based interventions that address vaccine knowledge and norms; and advance actions to reduce zero-dose and under-immunized children.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support programme development and planning for social and behaviour change interventions
- Manage, monitor and support delivery of programme results
- Provide technical and operational support for programme implementation
- Promote advocacy, networking, partnership building and scale-up of social and behaviour change approaches
- Strengthen evidence-based community engagement, social listening and community feedback
- Support interventions addressing vaccine knowledge, attitudes, norms and practices
- Contribute to reducing zero-dose and under-immunized children
- Advance knowledge management and capacity building
Role Requirements
- Bachelor or equivalent First Level University Degree in Social and Behavioral Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Communication Studies, Communication for Development, Psychology or a related field
- At least two years of professional experience in social development programme planning, communication for development, social and behaviour change, public advocacy or a related area
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language
- Experience in a UN system agency or organization
- Experience in immunization programmes
- Country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
