Summary of Responsibilities
- Collect and analyse security, medical, nutritional and humanitarian context data
- Advise country management on programme orientation, risk and operational positioning
- Develop and coordinate advocacy strategies aligned with emergency-response priorities
- Design ethical data-collection systems and strengthen analysis methods
- Map stakeholders and monitor humanitarian-aid system dynamics
- Draft briefings, reports and advocacy messages for internal and external audiences
- Represent MSF with authorities, civil society, professional groups and academics
- Train teams on context, humanitarian law, medical ethics and advocacy
Role Requirements
- University degree in law, humanitarian affairs, political science, social science or a related field
- At least two years of experience in research, analysis or advocacy
- Willingness to travel frequently to any required area at short notice
- Proven organisational and diplomatic skills with representation experience
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Eighteen months of MSF country-programme experience across at least two projects, including one emergency project
- Proficiency in French, Arabic, Spanish or Swahili
- Experience in diverse emergency responses, high-security or middle-income contexts
- Knowledge of qualitative research methods and MSF OCA data tools

- Emergency Team members spend approximately 90 percent of working days in country-programme locations
- Full-time one-year appointment with intention to renew based on performance
