Overview

Supports UN Women’s Japan Liaison Office with communications, advocacy, outreach and resource mobilisation. The intern manages digital content, researches private- and public-sector partnerships, prepares Unstereotype Alliance and Women’s Empowerment Principles materials, coordinates events and drafts speeches and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Support social-media outreach and website management
  • Research partnership and resource-mobilisation opportunities
  • Prepare background notes and partnership materials
  • Draft visibility resources for the Unstereotype Alliance Japan chapter
  • Support Women’s Empowerment Principles advocacy and workshops
  • Create flyers, posters, videos, interviews and presentations
  • Coordinate advocacy with public, private and academic partners
  • Research and draft speeches and presentations for the director

Requirements

  • Ability to plan and organise events
  • Ability to translate between English and Japanese
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a team and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to work across cultures
