Job Description

Supports the Local2030 Coalition Secretariat’s advocacy work in Bilbao, helping connect United Nations members and local-development partners around localisation of the 2030 Agenda. The internship prepares events, communications and briefing materials, coordinates speakers and logistics, and maintains meeting records and follow-up systems for coalition advocacy, workshops and partner engagement.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Prepare concepts, agendas, talking points, briefing notes and logistical guidance for events and workshops
  • Draft event descriptions aligned with the coalition advocacy strategy
  • Support invitations, tracking spreadsheets and follow-up communications
  • Develop key messages and briefing materials for coalition leadership, members and partners
  • Prepare presentations and materials for events and meetings
  • Coordinate event setup, speakers and technical arrangements
  • Record meeting notes, reports and minutes and maintain follow-up documentation

Role Requirements

  • Enrolment in a graduate programme, final year of a first university degree, or completion of a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD programme
  • Field of study closely related to the internship
  • Computer literacy in standard software applications including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written English and Spanish
  • Proof of academic eligibility for the UN Internship Programme
