Job Description

UN-Habitat seeks an Urban Climate Intern in Tunis to support the climate urban portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Office and Programme Assistant, the intern will conduct project research, develop urban-climate resilience concepts, assist with project development and resource mobilisation, contribute to fieldwork, record meeting outcomes, and coordinate workshop logistics.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Conduct research related to ongoing or upcoming projects under the climate urban portfolio
  • Assist in writing urban climate resilience project ideas
  • Support day-to-day project development and funds-mobilisation tasks
  • Support fieldwork-related tasks for the portfolio
  • Take meeting minutes
  • Manage logistics during workshops

Role Requirements

  • Be enrolled in graduate school, the final year of a first university degree, or have graduated with a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree
  • Have a closely related field of study, including management, climate, urban planning, economics, political science or international law
  • Demonstrate result-oriented research skills

Desired Criteria

  • Proficiency in computer software applications is desirable
  • Knowledge and experience in report writing or policy reports is desirable

  • Travel, visa, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or sponsoring institutions.
