Job Description
Designs and delivers participatory gamification activities that engage young people in Petrópolis on climate resilience, sustainability and the right to the city. The consultant will facilitate school-based workshops, develop educational content, coordinate youth-created audiovisual outputs and document project results for UN-Habitat’s inclusive urban-resilience programme

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the project gamification methodology, challenges, evaluation criteria and participant-engagement mechanisms
- Plan and facilitate youth workshops and learning activities in public schools and prioritised territories
- Mobilise participating youth and promote inclusive leadership throughout project activities
- Create pedagogical content and support materials using an educommunication approach
- Coordinate educational activities with audiovisual production and youth-created content
- Support events, exhibitions and public presentations that showcase project results
- Prepare technical reports, activity records and other documentation in line with institutional guidance
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, psychology, social work, pedagogy, biology, environmental studies or a related field, or three additional years of relevant experience beyond the experience requirement
- At least three years of experience in educational, social or community-based projects in Brazil
- Experience facilitating workshops or participatory processes with youth
- Experience in sustainability, climate justice or territorial-development projects
- Experience using gamification, educommunication or non-formal education methodologies
- Fluency in Portuguese
- Open to Brazilian nationals or applicants with permanent visas in Brazil
Desired Criteria
- A postgraduate degree in education, participatory methodologies, youth studies, communication, gamification, social innovation, environmental or climate studies is desirable
- Previous UN-system experience is desirable
- Experience coordinating schools and institutional stakeholders is desirable
- Working knowledge of English or Spanish is desirable

- Travel within Brazil may be required and will be coordinated and financed under UN-Habitat travel rules
- BSAFE security training is required during the first month
