Job Description
Support community engagement for the Periferia Viva project in Santo André’s Nova Centreville area by mobilising residents, organising participatory meetings, communicating project activities and documenting monthly delivery alongside UN-Habitat’s operational and technical teams.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Promote participation and engagement among community residents
- Organise meetings, workshops, assemblies and other participatory spaces
- Communicate project information clearly to the community
- Support community involvement in decisions and implementation
- Publicise programme activities within participating communities
- Attend project and local meetings as requested
- Align technical activities with agency and counterpart quality expectations
- Prepare and submit monthly activity reports
Role Requirements
- High-school diploma, or two additional years of relevant technical experience beyond the experience requirement
- At least four years of experience in social mobilisation, social work in urban communities or community organisation in Brazil
- Good computer skills in Windows, Microsoft Office and web search engines
- Fluency in Portuguese
Desired Criteria
- Previous experience working with the United Nations
