Job Description

Advances IOM Philippines' climate mobility and displacement portfolio by building partnerships, shaping projects and integrating climate action across programmes. The officer produces research and communications that strengthen government, donor and stakeholder action on climate change and human mobility.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop partnerships on climate change and human mobility with government, civil society and private-sector actors
  • Support climate mobility policy and programming with government agencies and UN coordination mechanisms
  • Design project workplans and implementation strategies aligned with government and donor priorities
  • Integrate climate action across IOM intervention areas and support project delivery
  • Develop research, data and knowledge-management initiatives on climate change and mobility
  • Prepare strategic documents, donor reports and communications materials on climate action

Role Requirements

  • Degree in international development, environment, political or social science, international relations or a related field
  • Experience designing, developing or managing climate change or migration policies, programmes or projects
  • Experience in coordination and liaison with government bodies, UN agencies and civil society
  • Experience in communications and strategic writing
  • Fluency in English and Filipino

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in fundraising and resource mobilisation for climate action
  • Experience in research and knowledge management
  • Familiarity with IOM programmes and the region
  • Knowledge of intergovernmental climate, disaster-risk-reduction and migration mechanisms
