Outcome Lead (Climate Action)

Leads UNDP’s climate action portfolio, guiding programme strategy, delivery, partnerships and resource mobilisation across climate, environment, energy and resilience priorities. The role manages a multidisciplinary team and ensures results, quality and policy impact.

Department: Climate Action Programme Team

• Lead strategic direction and implementation of the climate action outcome in the country programme
• Manage the programme cycle, supervise the Climate Action Programme Team and oversee project managers
• Apply results-based management, quality assurance, monitoring, evaluation and financial oversight across the portfolio
• Develop partnerships with government, donors, international financial institutions, civil society and the private sector
• Build a multi-year resource pipeline and implement partnership and resource-mobilisation strategies
• Provide policy advice and knowledge leadership on climate change, environment, energy, biodiversity, circular economy and resilience
• Integrate gender equality and women’s empowerment into programme design and delivery

• Advanced university degree in environment, climate change, disaster risk reduction, management, urban planning or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree plus two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least five years of relevant professional experience with a master’s degree, or seven years with a bachelor’s degree, in management advisory services, development-project design, monitoring and evaluation, and institutional partnerships
• Experience using computers, office software and web-based management systems
• Fluency in English and Filipino
