Job Description

Supports IOM's emergency-response surge roster by coordinating humanitarian activities, analysing disaster and operational information, tracking budgets and delivery risks, and producing reports and coordination materials. The role helps government, UN, NGO and donor partners deliver timely, accountable assistance during disasters and other humanitarian emergencies in the Philippines.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate emergency response activities to deliver humanitarian assistance in line with project objectives, humanitarian principles and donor requirements
  • Analyse disaster impacts, humanitarian needs and operational developments to support response planning and decisions
  • Monitor project budgets and resource use, identify funding gaps and propose adjustments
  • Coordinate procurement, logistics, deployments, clearances and administrative requirements with internal units and external stakeholders
  • Prepare situation reports, implementation updates, donor reports, dashboards and operational documentation
  • Support coordination meetings, simulations and capacity-building for government counterparts, partners and response personnel
  • Monitor implementing partners’ compliance with project agreements, humanitarian standards, IOM policies and donor requirements

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Social Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field with four years of relevant professional experience, or a high school diploma with six years
  • Tagalog
  • Locally available and ready to complete onboarding and administrative requirements promptly if selected for deployment

  • Experience with international humanitarian organisations, non-government or government institutions in a multi-cultural setting
