Job Description
IOM seeks a Senior Project Associate to lead implementation of North-Eastern Colombia projects and coordinate field-level delivery. The role monitors operational, financial and technical activities, manages budgets and reporting, engages authorities, partners and UN agencies, and supports capacity building, programme planning and staff supervision in a migration and humanitarian context.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of projects in North-Eastern Colombia
- Monitor activities and recommend adjustments to implementation modalities and work plans
- Coordinate financial, administrative and technical project activities
- Monitor budget expenditures and approved project budgets
- Coordinate capacity-building workshops for internal and external parties
- Liaise with authorities, partners, UN agencies, donors and other stakeholders
- Prepare correspondence, briefing notes and narrative and financial reports
- Supervise and train reporting staff
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a specified field with five years of relevant professional experience or High School diploma with seven years
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Experience liaising with authorities, institutions, UN agencies and non-governmental organisations
- Experience coordinating operational and programme activities
Desired Criteria
- Experience with international humanitarian, non-governmental or government institutions in a multicultural setting
- Familiarity with IOM corporate systems and tools including MiMOSA and PRIMA
