Job Description

Supports IOM Ecuador’s socioeconomic-inclusion work by coordinating projects, budgets and partners for training, labour intermediation and formal-employment pathways. The role connects companies, education providers and local authorities; develops documentation and outreach events; and tracks referrals, investments and partner performance to strengthen migrant and host-community inclusion.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor socioeconomic-inclusion project activities
  • Compile and analyse project data and monitor budgets and fund availability
  • Coordinate calls, participant selection, tutoring and academic–productive follow-up with companies and chambers
  • Coordinate administrative actions, reports, correspondence, workshops and outreach events
  • Support implementation with local authorities, partners, UN agencies, donors and other stakeholders
  • Monitor referrals, investment plans, payments, contracts and implementing-partner compliance
  • Liaise with ministries, local governments and certification entities on competency recognition and regulatory compliance

Role Requirements

  • School diploma with five years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, international relations, development studies, migration studies, human rights, law or a related field with three years of relevant professional experience
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Valid residence and work permit for the country where the position is based

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, trafficking survivors or other vulnerable groups
  • Experience in economic inclusion, MSME banking, funds management or international cooperation
  • Experience in grant making
  • Knowledge of procurement and donor regulations
