Job Description

Develops an economic-reintegration and financial-inclusion approach for IOM Ethiopia, connecting returnees and host communities with private-sector, employment and financial-service opportunities. The consultant will build referral pathways and partnerships, strengthen stakeholder capacity, and produce practical tools, evidence and recommendations for sustainable scale-up.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop a private-sector engagement strategy for IOM Ethiopia’s reintegration programming
  • Facilitate financial-literacy, business-development and digital-financial-service access for beneficiaries
  • Build partnerships with employers, chambers of commerce, financial institutions and service providers
  • Coordinate employment matching, apprenticeship and labour-market integration with government employment services
  • Develop referral pathways, standard operating procedures, tracking templates and service-mapping resources
  • Deliver capacity-building activities and sustainability plans for economic-inclusion systems
  • Document lessons learned and recommendations for institutionalisation and scale-up

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business administration, management or a related field with five years of relevant professional experience, or university degree in the same fields with seven years
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in economic reintegration, livelihoods, private-sector engagement, financial inclusion or related programming
  • Fluency in English and Amharic
  • Availability for required field visits to project sites
