Job Description

Leads strategic programme and project management for IUCN coastal and marine conservation work in the Maldives. The officer will guide donor-funded implementation, safeguards, partnerships and field delivery, develop plans and policy products, analyse environmental and operational evidence, and coordinate government, research, civil-society and community partners to advance sustainable coastal and marine management.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead coastal and marine programme implementation
  • Guide safeguards compliance and donor-funded project delivery

  • Analyse environmental and operational data for programme decisions

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • At least 7 years of conservation or development experience
  • Experience in donor-funded conservation and sustainable-development projects
  • Fluency in English and Dhivehi

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with government, research, civil-society or community stakeholders
  • Experience in internationally funded projects
