Job Description

Originates and leads AIIB corporate-finance investments for private-sector infrastructure across the Bank’s markets. The officer structures and executes transactions, directs due diligence, manages approval and stakeholder processes, develops client relationships and project pipelines, and mentors colleagues while ensuring investments meet AIIB policies, strategies and sustainability objectives.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Originate and execute investment projects
  • Identify, assess and structure investment opportunities across relevant sectors and geographies
  • Maintain a project pipeline for corporate-finance investments
  • Lead legal, technical and safeguard specialists through investment due diligence
  • Research projects and clients to inform investment proposals
  • Lead client meetings and prepare presentations, memoranda and reports
  • Manage internal stakeholders and investment approval processes
  • Mentor junior team members

Role Requirements

  • Eight to ten years of relevant experience in multilateral development banks or top-tier global financial institutions
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Development Studies or a related field, or a bachelor's degree supported by strong practical experience
  • Experience leading an investment team
  • Track record building quality investment portfolios
  • Strong credit and structuring skills across investment tools
  • Operational project and corporate-finance experience across sectors and jurisdictions
  • High written and spoken English proficiency
