Job Description
UNESCO seeks a Senior Driver for its Santiago office. Reporting to the Senior Operations Officer, the post provides safe transport for personnel and visitors, supports protocol and airport formalities, maintains the assigned vehicle and records, and carries out related document and clerical support. The fixed-term G-3 appointment is open to candidates eligible to work in Chile.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Drive UNESCO personnel, officials and visitors safely using the office vehicle
- Meet personnel and visitors at the airport and facilitate basic visa and customs formalities
- Maintain vehicle logs and arrange timely minor and major repairs
- Keep insurance, registration, safety supplies and spare parts available in the assigned vehicle
- Report accidents accurately and assist with vehicle communications equipment
- Deliver and collect mail and official documents and perform basic clerical duties
Role Requirements
- Completed secondary, technical or vocational education
- Valid category B driving license held for more than five years
- At least two years of work experience as a driver
- Excellent knowledge of Spanish
- Basic knowledge of English
- Only candidates eligible to work in Chile may apply
Desired Criteria
- First-aid certification
- Experience in the UN system, an international organization or a diplomatic mission
- Experience in customs procedures and protocol
- Knowledge of defensive driving
