Job Description
Supports WHO EMRO's public-health intelligence work through a remote UN Volunteer assignment. The volunteer screens the EIOS EMRO Board for relevant signals, records concise summaries in the tracking tool, documents daily triage decisions and follow-up actions, escalates urgent signals, and submits a quality-checked electronic log at the end of the assignment.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Review the EIOS EMRO Board daily and identify potentially relevant public-health signals
- Prepare concise summaries of retained signals in the designated tracking tool
- Attend the daily virtual triage meeting and document decisions and follow-up actions
- Escalate urgent signals through agreed communication channels
- Maintain accurate and timely records and submit a quality-checked log at the end of the assignment
Role Requirements
- Interest in public health, epidemiology, health information or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review information efficiently
- Good written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet daily deadlines
Desired Criteria
- Experience with information monitoring, event-based surveillance or EIOS
