Noncommunicable Diseases & Mental Health Policy Communication ExpertNew

WHO Bangladesh seeks a National UN Volunteer to document and communicate noncommunicable-disease and mental-health programmes, results and innovations. The role identifies experiences, gathers evidence, produces policy and communication products, coordinates technical validation, and maintains knowledge systems so programme learning supports policy-makers, partners, donors and public audiences.

• Identify and prioritise NCD and mental-health experiences for documentation
• Maintain a documentation plan covering topics, audiences, products, evidence and timelines
• Develop case studies, briefs, profiles, success stories, evidence summaries and communication materials
• Collect, verify and synthesise quantitative and qualitative evidence
• Conduct field visits, consultations and structured stakeholder interviews
• Coordinate technical review and validation of knowledge products
• Maintain an evidence repository, product tracker and dissemination records

• At least 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in public health, health communication, programme documentation, knowledge management, evidence synthesis, policy communication, journalism or related fields
• Demonstrated experience in public health, NCD prevention and control, health policy, health communication, research, programme documentation or knowledge management
• Ability to develop knowledge products from concept to finalisation including evidence collection, drafting, technical review and validation
• Strong skills in collecting, analysing, synthesising and translating technical information
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bangla
• Ability to work with government counterparts, development partners, communities and technical teams

• Master’s degree in public health, global health, health policy, health communication, development studies, NCDs, health promotion, journalism or a related discipline
• Experience documenting NCD policies, programmes or health-system innovations
• Experience in photography, digital storytelling, infographic development or multimedia content creation
