Job Description

Maintains complete and accurate safeguards information for State declarations, verification and environmental sampling. The role processes and quality-controls data, prepares evaluation reports, monitors workflows and repositories, and helps improve information systems supporting nuclear safeguards.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Collect and process data from State declarations, safeguards verification and environmental sampling
  • Validate database entries and resolve data deficiencies with inspectors and laboratories
  • Upload and maintain electronic files used for safeguards evaluation reports
  • Monitor data flows, repositories and deadlines for evaluation products
  • Report system faults and propose improvements to safeguards information systems
  • Maintain the internal portal and International Target Values web pages
  • Draft evaluation reports and process non-routine analytical requests
  • Provide documentation and administrative support for scientific meetings

Role Requirements

  • Completed secondary education
  • At least 5 years of experience in data processing, data quality control or similar work
  • Experience analysing information and preparing summaries and reports
  • Ability to work with high accuracy and attention to detail during periods of high workload
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Eligibility for recruitment on a local basis

Desired Criteria

  • Proactive experience identifying and improving issues in data workflows, tools and systems
  • Basic knowledge of safeguards concepts, nuclear materials, environmental sampling, material accountancy and material-balance evaluation
