Job Description
Water Technical Officer supports isotope-hydrology work by delivering technical expertise, coordinating projects and contributing to the development and application of nuclear techniques for water-resource assessment. The role works with scientific partners and Member States to strengthen evidence, capacity and operational delivery for sustainable water management and environmental protection.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide technical cooperation on prevention, surveillance, control and elimination of animal diseases and zoonoses
- Strengthen integrated human-animal-environment surveillance and response systems
- Support veterinary public health projects through study design and epidemiological analysis
- Develop capacity-building initiatives with national and international partners
- Manage PANAFTOSA's Epidemiology Unit, workplans and technical teams
Role Requirements
- University degree in health, biological or veterinary sciences and a master's degree in epidemiology, veterinary preventive medicine, microbiology, veterinary public health or a related discipline
- Nine years of national and international experience in epidemiology, public health or related fields
- Experience in surveillance, epidemiology and risk analysis of animal diseases with implications for food and health security
- Experience using epidemiological information systems, GIS and statistical software
