Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate workshops, training courses and other stakeholder-engagement capacity-building events
- Serve as technical officer for national, regional and interregional technical-cooperation projects
- Prepare reports on nuclear-sector stakeholder engagement, communication, education and community outreach
- Develop guidance addressing emerging Member State needs and improving stakeholder-engagement strategies
- Monitor Member State practices, implementation needs and operating experience and evaluate relevant data
- Maintain an international network of nuclear-industry, government, research and communication experts
- Coordinate stakeholder-engagement work across the Nuclear Energy Department and the wider Agency
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in communications, science or social science, or a bachelor’s degree in one of those fields with two additional years of relevant experience
- At least seven years of experience in stakeholder engagement or nuclear communication, including at least five years at international level
- Experience developing communication plans and campaigns
- Experience organising and leading training courses, workshops and capacity-building events
- Experience producing technical reports and official documents in English
- Excellent oral and written command of English

- Fixed-term regular appointment for 36 months with a one-year probation period
- Professional staff are subject to the IAEA rotation policy and a normal maximum seven-year tour
