Communications Expert

Translate scientific work from the IAEA’s nuclear applications department into clear communications for specialist and general audiences. The consultant drafts speeches and reports, develops promotional material, maintains departmental web content and supports exhibitions explaining nuclear techniques and achievements.

Department: NA Programme Coordination Group

• Draft speeches, departmental reports and communications from scientific inputs
• Adapt scientific content and style for stakeholder needs and Agency procedures
• Develop promotional material on nuclear research, technologies and applications
• Maintain internal and external departmental web content
• Coordinate promotional materials and exhibitions with the public-information office

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public or foreign relations, science or another relevant field
• At least five years of relevant experience in communications and technical writing, preferably with strong international exposure
• Excellent written and spoken English

• The consultancy lasts six months
• Previous applications remain under consideration following reopening
• Travel costs and daily subsistence are covered when duty travel is required
• Health coverage and pension arrangements are the consultant’s responsibility
