Responsibilities

  • Design guided tour experiences for varied public audiences
  • Keep guides informed about current United Nations issues and developments
  • Maintain engaging and current displays along the tour route
  • Monitor tour quality through checks and visitor feedback
  • Produce promotional materials for media and social platforms
  • Organise special tour events with internal and external partners
  • Recruit, train and manage the performance of guided tours personnel
  • Plan the operation's budget and monitor expenditure and income

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in communications, management, international relations or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of relevant experience
  • At least five years of progressively responsible public information or public relations experience in an international environment
  • Experience as an official full-time tour guide within an international organisation
  • Experience managing the performance of more than 20 multinational staff
  • Experience producing public information materials
  • English at UN Level III in reading, writing, listening and speaking
