Chief of Unit, Production

Leads broadcast and video production for the UN Information Service in Geneva, managing live coverage, studio workflows, staff performance and multimedia distribution while advising UN entities and building partnerships that sustain timely international news delivery.

Department: Radio, Television and Webcast Section

• Lead daily broadcast coverage of meetings, press events and technical press-conference operations
• Schedule video and multimedia coverage and coordinate production with the News Unit
• Manage team workloads, workflows, performance, quality assurance and delivery timelines
• Oversee broadcast hardware, software procurement, finances and production budgets
• Produce and distribute timely video news edits to international media and broadcast partners
• Represent the Geneva information service in communication and UN Web TV planning forums
• Advise United Nations entities on broadcast, studio, technical workflow and multimedia asset issues
• Build stakeholder partnerships and support for Geneva broadcast and video coverage

• Advanced university degree in communication, multimedia, broadcast engineering or a related field, or a first degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• Seven years of progressively responsible communication experience covering live broadcasting, studio operations and video production in an international setting
• Experience managing a multimedia team
• Experience producing video news edits carried by international broadcasters
• English proficiency at UN Level III
