Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop safeguards procedures, working papers and guidance for DPRK deployment scenarios
- Document prospective safeguards approaches and verification measures
- Coordinate analytical requirements, concepts and equipment options across departments
- Validate procedures through tabletop exercises and training modules
- Define functional requirements and field constraints for equipment procurement
- Coordinate inventory, maintenance and calibration of DPRK Team equipment
- Organize radiation protection requirements for challenging environments
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in science, engineering, international relations, non-proliferation studies or analysis, or a bachelor's degree with two additional years of relevant experience
- At least seven years of experience in nuclear non-proliferation, nuclear-related research or nuclear safeguards implementation
- Experience writing and editing analytical reports from open and other sources
- Experience contributing to training programmes and conducting engagement activities
- Excellent oral and written command of English
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of another official IAEA language or Korean
