Job Description

Regional Programme Officer supports UN Women’s work to prevent gender-based violence in Asia and the Pacific from Bangkok. The consultant coordinates joint-programme implementation, monitoring and donor reporting; develops knowledge products and learning events; engages UN agencies, civil society and research partners; and prepares advocacy materials while strengthening evidence and partnerships.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support joint-programme implementation and coordination
  • Track results and compile partner inputs for donor reports
  • Draft progress reports, briefing notes and presentations
  • Develop and quality-assure GBV-prevention knowledge products
  • Organize learning events and cross-country exchanges
  • Support advocacy materials, outreach reporting and partner engagement

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, social science, public health, international development, international law, gender studies or related area
  • At least 5 years of programme implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting experience on violence against women, girls or gender-based violence
  • Fluency in English with strong writing skills

Desired Criteria

  • Southeast Asia experience on violence against women or gender-based violence
  • Prevention of violence against women or gender-based violence experience
  • International-setting experience
  • Experience writing concept notes and maintaining partnerships
