Supports UNHCR's Regional Bureau Protection Team in Nairobi on policy work concerning forced displacement, statelessness, asylum and durable solutions. The full-time intern researches protection issues, analyses and visualises data, prepares management products and advocacy materials, tracks legal and human-rights developments, and coordinates regional meetings, training and consultations.

• Conduct legal, policy and protection research on displacement, statelessness, asylum and durable solutions
• Collect, compile, analyse and visualise protection and human-rights data
• Prepare reports, briefing notes, presentations and analytical products
• Draft advocacy and communication materials on protection and statelessness
• Monitor national laws, policies and human-rights developments
• Support analysis and reporting on durable-solution pathways
• Coordinate and document meetings, webinars, training sessions and consultations
• Review Multi-Year Strategic Plans for statelessness outputs and outcomes

• Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate within two years of applying, at an IAU/UNESCO-accredited institution
• Completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant to UNHCR's work
• Eligible candidates must not have exhausted UNHCR's maximum cumulative internship period

• Bachelor's degree in law, international relations, social sciences or a related field
• Knowledge of UNHCR's work on statelessness prevention and durable solutions

• Full-time internship based in Nairobi
• Working hours are 08:00–16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00–14:00 Friday
• Interns without external financial support receive an allowance
