Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead protection coordination across UN, humanitarian and civil-society actors
- Develop mission-wide and local protection strategies
- Chair Protection Working Groups and mainstream human rights
- Analyse drivers of civilian harm and emerging threats
- Provide legal and policy advice on human-rights and humanitarian law
- Manage team activities and performance
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in human rights, law, political science, international relations, social sciences, economics, public policy, sustainable development, humanitarian affairs or related field
- At least seven years of human-rights or related experience
- At least five years of protection-of-civilians knowledge
- At least five years of human rights in humanitarian-context knowledge
- English fluency

- Survivor-centred and survivor-led programme design
- Conflict-related sexual violence and child-protection framework knowledge
