Job Description
Supports UNHCR Kenya's communications unit in producing public-facing stories, videos, photographs and digital materials on refugee protection. The internship contributes to media monitoring, website and social-media publishing, reporting, event logistics and records management, while building practical skills in writing, creative production and humanitarian communications.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Monitor weekly media mentions of UNHCR Kenya
- Prepare monthly reports, fact sheets and briefing kits under supervision
- Update the website with public stories and content
- Support administrative and logistical arrangements for press briefings, workshops and conferences
- Contribute video, photography, writing, editing and graphic-design content
- Draft copy for UNHCR Kenya social-media channels
- Upload press releases and web stories and maintain consent-form records
Role Requirements
- Current graduate or undergraduate student at an IAU/UNESCO-accredited university or recent graduate within two years
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant to UNHCR work
- Previous UNHCR internship experience must not exceed eight cumulative full-time months
- Knowledge of English at B2 level or of the duty station's UN working language
Desired Criteria
- Background in communications or public relations
- Experience with social media, photography, video editing or graphic design
- Adobe Software and Canva experience
