Job Description

Creates multimedia and digital-communication content for the UN Communications Group and Resident Coordinator Office in Trinidad and Tobago. The intern films and edits short videos, designs graphics, supports campaigns and planning, manages media assets, tracks engagement metrics and delivers regular visual and reporting outputs that communicate development priorities to regional audiences.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Film short-form video content for social media and UN websites
  • Edit footage into reels, explainers, event highlights and Sustainable Development Goal content
  • Plan and deliver video shoots at UN events and field visits
  • Manage and archive raw footage and edited assets
  • Design social-media graphics, infographics, banners and digital assets
  • Draft social-media copy, captions and content calendars
  • Track content-performance metrics and contribute campaign ideas

Role Requirements

  • Enrollment in or recent completion of a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral programme in communications, media and film studies, journalism, graphic design, digital media, social sciences or a related field
  • Demonstrated filming and short-form video-editing proficiency
  • Demonstrated Canva proficiency
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush or DaVinci Resolve
  • Photography skills
  • Experience managing organisational social-media accounts
  • Familiarity with UN branding or an international environment
  • Knowledge of Caribbean languages
