Job Description
This six-month ITU internship supports communications for smart sustainable cities and AI-powered virtual worlds by producing social, web, editorial, photo and video content, researching digital trends, coordinating events and campaigns, and maintaining online pages for ITU-T Study Group 20 initiatives.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Write social media posts and maintain regular channel updates
- Draft the Digital Transformation and Cities Digest and other editorial content
- Create mobile-first photographs, videos and promotional assets
- Develop and proofread website content for campaigns, virtual events and key activities
- Research communication trends, best practices and performance data
- Support events on people-centred digital transformation and AI-powered virtual worlds
Role Requirements
- University degree in information and communication technologies, economics, business administration, international relations, international development, public policy, social policy, communications or a related subject
- Current enrolment in an undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate programme, or graduation within six months before the internship starts
- Under 30 years of age unless pursuing a PhD
- Citizenship of an ITU Member State
- Advanced English
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of French or Spanish
- Knowledge of the ICT industry, technology media and modern digital-communication practices
- Experience with Adobe, Canva or generative-AI tools

Additional Information
- The internship is unpaid and based in Geneva for six months
- Medical insurance, travel, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of the intern or sponsoring institution
