AI and Smart Sustainable Cities Communications Intern

Creates digital communications for ITU work on smart sustainable cities and AI-powered virtual worlds, producing social posts, website and mobile-first content, supporting editorial digests and event promotion, researching technology and media trends, maintaining web pages and coordinating standards-related events and campaigns.

• Produce communications on smart sustainable cities and AI-powered virtual worlds
• Write and schedule regular social-media updates
• Draft the Digital Transformation and Cities Digest
• Create mobile-first photo, video and digital content
• Develop and maintain website content for events and campaigns
• Research technology trends and communication best practices
• Support coordination and promotion of ITU digital-transformation events
• Draft editorial and promotional materials for standards-related activities

• University degree in information and communication technology, economics, business administration, international relations, international development, public policy, social policy, communications or a related field
• Advanced English
• Under 30 years of age unless pursuing a doctorate
• Current enrolment in an undergraduate or graduate programme, or graduation within six months before the internship
• Citizenship of an ITU Member State

• Unpaid internship; insurance, travel, housing and living costs are not covered
• Normal work is at ITU headquarters with possible alternative hours during meetings
