Job Description
The Editorial and Scientific Designer Intern supports ITU’s Radiocommunication Bureau by creating and revising graphics, drawings and layouts for technical publications. The intern prepares charts and graphs, reviews editorial and visual corrections under the Technical Designer’s guidance, and aligns visual content with the Bureau’s editorial standards, technical documents and Radio Regulations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Create and modify illustrations, logos, layouts and photos to Radiocommunication Bureau editorial and visual standards
- Prepare drawings and visual materials requested by the Radiocommunication Bureau
- Review figures and graphics and identify editorial and visual corrections under the Technical Designer’s guidance
- Prepare curves, charts and graphs from tables, mathematical formulae and databases
- Contribute to the editorial coherence of visual and graphical materials with technical content
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Visual Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of English
- Applicants must be under 30 years of age, except possible PhD-candidate exceptions
- Applicants must be enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate programme
- Applicants must be citizens of an ITU Member State
Desired Criteria
- Working knowledge of another UN language is an advantage
