Job Description

Leads marketing and fundraising communications for UNHCR’s Private Sector Partnerships Service in Asia and the Pacific. The officer shapes content and communication strategies that build public trust, strengthen donor engagement and support private-sector fundraising, while delivering persuasive donor materials and strategic advice for regional markets, country operations and senior management.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver marketing and fundraising communications strategies for Individual Giving and private partnerships
  • Create donor-facing proposals, concept notes, investment cases, pitch decks and donor reports
  • Develop and implement a PSP Asia content strategy and annual content plans
  • Prepare and quality-assure briefing notes, talking points and background materials for senior management
  • Advise regional markets and country operations on private-sector engagement materials and donor alignment
  • Support media partnerships and communications activities that build public engagement
  • Provide strategic guidance and quality assurance for fundraising communications across PSP Asia

Role Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Political Sciences, Public Information, Media, International Relations, Economics, Business Administration, External Relations, Fundraising, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant international experience with a graduate degree, or 6 years with an undergraduate degree
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a multicultural environment
  • Experience developing and implementing communications strategies

Desired Criteria

  • Private-sector fundraising, external engagement or donor-relations experience
  • Understanding of the Asian media environment
  • Experience with digital analytics and performance reporting
  • Knowledge of UNHCR operations and refugee protection frameworks

Additional Information

  • Office-based in Bangkok, Thailand, or home-based
  • Occasional international travel of up to 10% is required
