Job Description

UN Women seeks a part-time, remote Communication Consultant to implement the Global Supply Chain Coalition communications strategy and grow the visibility of Coalition and Women’s Empowerment Principles work. The consultant will shape outreach, manage digital content and analytics, uphold brand standards, and support communications for events, campaigns and member stories.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Global Supply Chain Coalition communication and outreach strategy
  • Update the communications plan and monitor communication trends and content effectiveness
  • Draft, edit and publish content for newsletters, social media, websites and other channels
  • Manage the content calendar and regular Coalition webpage updates
  • Develop communications plans and promotional materials for Coalition events and campaigns
  • Produce and package member stories, case studies and multimedia impact content

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a relevant field, or a first-level degree with two additional qualifying years
  • At least two years of professional experience in public relations, communications, advocacy or related fields
  • Experience with MS Office 365, SharePoint, databases and web-based management systems
  • Proficiency in Canva and basic graphic design
  • Fluency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of SEO, web analytics and Generative Engine Optimization
  • Experience in media relations and journalist engagement
  • Experience working on women’s rights, human rights or international development
  • Experience working with the United Nations system
  • Another official UN language
