Protection Intern

Support UNHCR Korea’s protection team in advocacy, research and capacity building that strengthen the national refugee and asylum system. The intern responds to protection inquiries, communicates with government and civil-society partners, translates and interprets materials, monitors policy developments and assists training, meetings and public-awareness activities for people seeking protection.

• Respond to inquiries from asylum-seekers and refugees
• Communicate with NGOs and government counterparts
• Research protection-related and country-of-origin information
• Translate documents between Korean and English
• Support training for refugee-status determination officers
• Monitor legislative and policy development
