Job Description
Strengthens UNRWA’s Agency-wide protection monitoring and analysis from headquarters in Amman. The analyst develops methodologies, indicators and tools; integrates qualitative and disaggregated data; guides field offices on ethical collection and reporting; coordinates trend, vulnerability and risk analysis; produces dashboards and advocacy products; and supports research that informs.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop and improve protection monitoring methodologies indicators and tools
- Integrate qualitative and disaggregated data into protection analysis
- Provide technical guidance to field offices on monitoring and reporting
- Coordinate protection trend vulnerability and risk analysis
- Produce dashboards analytical products and advocacy materials
- Support research projects on protection thematic areas
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in international relations human rights international law humanitarian affairs public policy social sciences information management or related field
- At least five years of experience in protection monitoring analysis information management humanitarian research human rights or refugee protection
- Experience managing quantitative and qualitative protection data and producing analytical reports
- At least two years of relevant international experience outside UNRWA and country of nationality
- English is required
Desired Criteria
- Working knowledge of Arabic
- Familiarity with non-UN protection organisations
- Knowledge of Palestine refugee situation and Middle East political context
