Job Description
MONUSCO seeks a UN Volunteer in Bunia to support its Property Control and Inventory Unit. The role plans property-control activities, verifies United Nations assets, maintains auditable records, analyses inventory-system discrepancies, prepares reports and correspondence, liaises with counterparts on receiving and disposal, and strengthens inventory accountability and mission operations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Assist planning and coordination of property-control activities
- Monitor current operations through statistical analysis of property records and submit weekly progress reports
- Conduct physical verification of United Nations property
- Maintain accurate and auditable hard-copy and electronic property records
- Use business-intelligence tools to monitor and evaluate property-management processes
- Analyse inventory-system discrepancies and ensure anomalies are addressed
- Liaise with property-management counterparts on inventory control, receiving, inspection, write-off and disposal
- Provide capacity development through coaching, mentoring and formal or on-the-job training
Role Requirements
- Experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Management or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in asset management, inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations or administrative support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and ability to work accurately with databases and inventory management systems
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of UN property-management policies
- ERP experience such as UMOJA
- Valid driving licence
- UN or international-organization experience
