Logistics Officer

Supports MONUSCO warehouse and supply-chain operations by coordinating inbound and outbound cargo, planning receipt resources, tracking contracts and purchase orders, and maintaining accurate asset records. The role analyses inventory performance, monitors SAP and UMOJA data and asset-control procedures, resolves discrepancies, and provides operational reporting and staff capacity support.

• Coordinate inbound shipments and prepare warehouse manpower, handling-equipment and space requirements
• Track contracts and purchase orders with Procurement to plan warehouse receipts
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing mission cargo with movement and transport teams
• Maintain asset transaction histories, cargo tracking boards and supply-chain reports
• Analyse inventory performance, stock levels, unusual usage and excess holdings
• Monitor asset-control procedures and implement solutions for identified weaknesses
• Verify SAP and UMOJA inventory records and resolve discrepancies with asset holders
• Coach national staff, counterparts and implementing partners when overseeing their work

• Relevant education in business administration, logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations or an equivalent field
• At least three years of experience in property management, warehousing, inventory control, receiving and inspection or a relevant comparable setting
• English proficiency
• Willingness to work independently in austere, remote and potentially hazardous environments and travel or transfer within the area of operations
